Two very attractive rural self-catering properties with private swimming pools in the glorious countryside of the Dordogne, near Bergerac, France. Sleeps 13 and 11, taking together 24 persons..
Located at the end of a farm track in the hill top hamlet of Guibert near Issac, the ancient farm house La Ferme sleeps 7 and the annexe La Grange a converted barn adjacent, sleeps 6, let together for a maximum of 13 people in high season, when the swimming pool is in use and separately off season.
The other property La Bergerie is completely independent and private with its own swimming pool on the other side of a large court yard, sleeping 6/8 and a small self -contained annexe called Le Robinson sleeps 2/3. The same applies as La Ferme and in high season sleeps a maximum of 11.
For large family “get-togethers” and groups the whole property can be taken sleeping a maximum of 24 and the living room of La Bergerie can seat this number of for meals. For more details click on properties above.
Guibert offers a safe, quiet, tranquil location surrounded by meadows, woods and vineyards. Long winding tracks though woodland and fields make the area ideal for short and long walks and safe cycling especially for children. It is 20 mins walk or 4 mins drive to the picturesque, ancient once fortified, village of Issac in the Crempse valley which still fortunately, has a thriving village shop to buy fresh bread in the morning, a bar, a restaurant and fishing.
There is also a tennis court at the Chateau Montreal with stunning views of the valley below, available for a small hire fee during the summer. This is located across the hill top, 6 min drive or a 30 min walk.
The Dordogne has so much to offer for all types of holiday in France. Guibert can also be a perfect holiday rental for specialist groups let fully catered with a cook available. Mussidan 7km for all shops, market, bicycle hire, canoeing; the historic centre of Bergerac on the River Dordogne and its vineyards (20 mins), Sarlat, Les Eyzies (famous caves and pre-historic paintings) renowned wine of St Emilion, and Duras, Riberac, Eymet and arcaded market square villages of the Lot et Garonne.
Channel ports are within a day's drive. Alternatively fly-drive using Bergerac airport with FlyBe or Ryanair (30mins from Guibert) .
